6. Star Wars Episode I: Racer

Not many good things have come out of the newer Star Wars trilogy - aside from never-ending commentaries on who they're really for and whether they're actually good because of it - but one such random tie-in was this LucasArts podracing title. By doing away with the naff script, cardboard-cutout acting and stilted camerawork, and instead focussing on the one section of the whole movie that everyone came away from going "Yeah, that was actually pretty good", LucasArts could ramp up the fun aspect within the elasticated boundaries of what must happen in the cutthroat world of podracing. With a variety of pods and power-ups along with a general sense speed Burnout would later replicate not seen in a sci-fi setting, there's few movie tie-ins that manage to cherry-pick just one aspect of their respective films and do them as much justice as this.
