10 Awful Video Games Based On TV Shows

8. Neighbours

If you think Dallas Quest was a bad game, you haven’t played Neighbours. Released in 1991, when the light and fluffy Aussie soap opera was reaching the peak of its popularity, the game was a complete oddity.

The show itself wasn’t ever big on bangs and danger – although, there was that moment Bouncer fell down a big hole – so the game was never going to have old Helen Daniels grabbing an AK47 and taking down Soviet soldiers outside of Lassiter's. That would have been neat, though.

Instead, you can play as a number of characters from the show in what can only be described as a Paperboy-esque race and avoid type of game, where your main adversaries are clumsy pedestrians, kangaroos and, erm, ostriches, That’s right: ostriches in Australia. (They are probably supposed to be emus - but they look like ostriches.)

The game was never a big seller, and was pretty derivative of other, better games, but has gone on to be something of a cult item in the second hand market. S'truth.
