10 Awful Video Games Based On TV Shows

6. Desperate Housewives: The Game

Desperate Housewives It might sound like stating the obvious, but yes, a video game based on Mark Cherry's Desperate Housewives is not very good. This isn't a shot at the show in particular; it's a fun, Twin Peaks-inspired slice of self-aware absurdity that nevertheless has little place being made into a game. This is basically The Sims 2 re-skinned and tweaked to fit the Desperate Housewives universe, but not a might as well-crafted as either Maxis' mammoth video game series, or the show itself. The game's various "missions" involve stealing, cheating and lying, but are sorely let down by some woeful gameplay mechanics, namely the stealth controls and camera angles, which render the experience completely infuriating. Here is a game shot through with the bare minimum level of effort.
