10 Awkward Moments In Awesome Recent Video Games

1. Dante's Dance In Devil May Cry V

Devil May Cry 5 Dante Michael Jackson
Capcom

Devil May Cry 5 was a solid game that went back to the franchise's stellar basics, and did a great job of washing away the bad taste gamers had in their mouth after the hiccup that was DMC: Devil May Cry with its emo, try-hard Dante that did away with much of what made him an icon in the first place.

However, you can't deny you got a little uncomfortable when Dante started doing a Michael Jackson dance, baring in mind that a documentary on the pop singer had just been released around the same time that focused on his many allegations of child sex crimes, and the consequences they had on victims.

Sure, the game was in development long before the documentary was even on the public mind, but I don't think reviews or sales would have been hurt too badly if Capcom had spared its players this moment of tone deaf awkwardness not seen since that Kendall Jenner Pepsi Commercial.

With developers easily able to remove sensitive materials not vital to the plot of a game at a moment's notice, one can't help why no one stopped to think for a second.
