The Devil in Me is Supermassive Games' take on Jigsaw-style horror. You play as a group of filmmakers trapped inside a hotel by a serial killer obsessed with trap-making, and your goal is to make it out alive out of his labyrinth of DIY murder contraptions.

It seems like someone didn't get enough arts-and-crafts projects in school.

One of the killer's murder toys consists of two sealed chambers, where he traps Kate and Erin. He shows that he will cut off oxygen in one of the chambers, and you have to choose which one.

It feels like the best option here is simply not to pick either woman and look for a way to help them escape. However, this will lead to the game making the choice for you and killing one character off.

If you want to keep both characters alive, what you actually have to do is actually doom one of them to death by suffocation... Because the choice won't actually kill them!

Yes, if you pick to kill Kate, it will turn out that her chamber isn't completely airtight, and she will be able to make it out alive alongside Erin.

That's why you don't leave making death traps to an amateur.
