10 Best Aliens And Predator Games
1. Alien: Isolation (2014)
Before being relegated to a mobile experience, the most gorgeous first-person horror game ever made put players in the shoes of Amanda Ripley, the daughter of the famously awesome Ellen Ripley. Ripley's daughter was very different from her epic mother, a mere mechanic who never held a gun before getting the call that the ship that her mother vanished on had suddenly reappeared.
Unknowingly, Amanda floated into a hellish nightmare where an unstable monster had decimated the population of an entire space station, trapping the younger Ripley and the player in a tense game of cat and mouse with a foe attracted by loud noises. Even better, thanks to revolutionary A.I., this was an unpredictable foe, making even supposed safe spaces death traps.
No other Alien game has come close to matching the sheer terror experienced in the beautifully claustrophobic corridors of space. Even some of the more recent horror hits feel somewhat lacking compared to the champion of terror, giving players a perfect example of the age-old saying that in space, no one can hear you scream.
