6. Laurence, The First Vicar
Laurence, The First Vicar is effectively what would happen if you crossed the Cleric Beast with the Watchdog Of The Old Lords… a fiery, terrifying mess.
Like Ebrietas, the lore behind this boss is everything. This is the Laurence that founded the Healing Church and effectively started the blood-plague that is ravaging Yharnam. It’s fitting that he should transform into the most terrifying beast of all.
Laurence attacks with such ferocity that he is considered to be one of the hardest bosses in the game. In his second phase he loses his legs and somehow this makes him even more aggressive, plus he leaves pools of literal lava that make for easy traps for a hunter that isn’t ready to run.
Laurence is a tough fight, but this was the guy that started it all, so who was really expecting him to be a pushover?
