10 Best Co-Op Campaigns In Video Game History
5. Rayman Legends
Rayman's '90s contemporaries have been doing well recently. Crash & Spyro have been rebooted back to their roots with successful remasters and Sonic has been given a new lease of life with his upcoming movie. Even Oddworld had the New N Tasty remake and Soulstorm on the horizon, and platforming God Mario has been crushing it since before, during and after the '90s.
Rayman seems like a bit of also ran stacked up against all that, but it's only because Rayman Legends is so criminally underrated. Though co-op gameplay isn't the defining aspect of this game the way it is with others on the list, the adventure is simply too much fun to leave it on the sidelines.
In a slightly uneven co-op experience, one player controls Rayman himself while the other controls Murfy to pull levers and wheels to shift obstacles. With a wide array of levels available, having a quick thinking player as Murfy is crucial on the speed based levels.
Legends remakes 40 levels from the original Rayman game along with a set of fresh ones, 'invaded' levels which need to be completed before the chasing beast catches you, and rhythm boss battles where jumps and dashes coincide with the beat of rock and roll songs.
