10 Best Dark Souls Bosses We Loved To Hate

6. The Last Giant

tradeindetectives.comNamcoBandaiFound in: Dark Souls 2 The lore of Dark Souls 2 goes that when a Giant dies, its body takes root in the ground and becomes a tree. This particular boss lies deep below a forest filled with them; leftovers from the war between King Vendrick and the Giants. The player passes many deceased Giants before finally stumbling upon this last living remnant of that war from long ago. When you discover his pit deep below the Cardinal Tower the Last Giant is in a very sour mood, likely thanks to the years he's spent stuck there with a pillar through his chest and half a dozen swords in his back. A brief cutscene shows the old fella waking from his slumber and tearing himself from the ground, screaming as he runs to kick the ever-loving snot out of you. Halfway through the fight, The Last Giant literally tears off his broken arm and uses it as a club to beat you with. Needless to say, this guy means business and is a far cry from being the BFG. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzepsliGz2o It's a devastating fight which creates a mix of emotions upon landing that final blow. While on one hand you're one step closer to finishing the game, you've also killed the last of an ancient race, who had been left below the land to rot and ponder his defeat for eternity.
