10 Best DLC Of 2013

2. Mass Effect 3: The Citadel

The final piece to Bioware's Mass Effect trilogy is fan service at its finest. It's unknown if The Citadel is Bioware's apology for the controversial ending to Mass Effect 3 (the extended ending DLC still wasn't enough for many) or if it was planned from the beginning, but it was definitely the goodbye that the fans were clamoring for. Captain Anderson has left Commander Shepard with the deeds to his swanky Citadel apartment and ordered you to take a break before the final assault on the Reapers, but the downtime is disturbed when Cerberus makes an attempt on Shepards life. A simple and enjoyable enough typical Mass Effect mission follows, including the most unique enemy of the whole series. Once that's done it's time to relax and throw a party for your crew, past and present, including favourites Wrex, Jack and Miranda. New areas of the Citadel are also opened up, such as a games arcade and combat simulator. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTKMUbKVyJ4 It's quite a sizable chunk of content with plenty to do and a steady stream of nostaliga for the hardcore fans to bask in. And like the main game, your save files from the previous games impact the narrative and dialogue choices. More importantly, it'll determine who you'll be waking up next to the following morning. Although if it's not Garrus or Miranda then you're doing it wrong. It's a very tongue in cheek add-on, with plenty of in-jokes and cheesiness, and feels like an odd change of pace during the Mass Effect 3 story arc, throwing a party when Reapers are in the midst of destroying the galaxy and all. But experienced separately it is a lot of fun for the fans, although it won't be to everyones taste. How can you not enjoy a dancing Garrus though?
