I feel like I'm cheating here. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon isn't technically DLC in an expansion sense, seeing as you don't need the base game to play it. But for arguments sake, I'm including it. It's a great game and I'll take any loophole I can get, alright? Farcry 3 was slightly dissapointing and it seemed like the folks at Ubisoft wanted to step back, take everything they loved about the 1980's and stuff it into the game code, keeping the same mechanics and engine. And that's just what they did with Blood Dragon, it's not just a satirical nod to 1980's action flicks, it's a full on headbutt. Blood Dragon is as over the top and hysterically kickass as any Arnie or Stallone 80's action movie, and it's all the better for it. The tutorial alone will have you laughing out loud and sets the tone beautifully. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dofacvjRkc It's the distant distopian future of 2007, the world is suffering in the aftermath of a nuclear war between the USA and Russia and it's up to our cyborg hero Seargent Rex Power Colt (voiced by The Terminator's Michael Biehn, no less) to save everyone from the evil Colonel Sloan and his robotic army, The Omega Force. The comparisons to Far Cry 3 end at the gameplay mechanics and engine, Blood Dragon is a completely new world and is arguably far more enjoyable. If only Far Cry 3 had been more like its little spin off.
