10 Best Fallout: New Vegas Mods

2. Niner

Fallout New Vegas Mod NinerBethesdaDownload You can't possibly be expected to hunt those bounties all by your lonesome! Fallout: New Vegas has some of the best, most well-written party members in RPG history. They're all exceptional characters in their own right, with fully developed stories that are every bit as remarkable as the rest of the game. From the quiet and angsty Boone to the bubbly Veronica, there's a lot of depth and variety to every one of them. Niner however, may just top all of them. Niner is simply the perfect companion for any Courier. Met early in the game on the road to Primm just outside of Goodsprings, Niner's own personal storyline will unfold as the player's does along the road to New Vegas. Along the way, he'll charm you with his electric personality and devilish good looks. What's most commendable about this mod is the crazy amount of hard work that went into making him feel truly alive, instead of being a static meats shield. Niner has something to say about nearly everything, and will be sure to comment on the places you visit, the people you meet, and the things you do. He won't just accompany you in existing quests, either. Just like every other companion in the game, Niner has his own set of quests for you to complete, which will reveal bits and pieces of his personality and past as you play. All of this combined with the exceptional functionality the mod author has provided, Niner is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a good friend on the lonesome road to post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.

Ken was born in 1994, and before the turn of the century, he was already a gamer for life, starting with Pokémon Blue Version. He has a passion for storytelling, especially in the gaming medium. Growing up on a healthy diet of JRPGs and point and click adventure games, young Kenny grew up playing Nintendo and Sony consoles, before becoming a snobby member of the PC Master Race. Nowadays, he resides in a time warp, refusing to believe the nineties ended as he fills up his Steam library with old point and clicks and cRPGs.
