10 Best Fallout: New Vegas Mods

6. Nevada Skies

BethesdaBethesdaDownload Okay, so now you've made the game more challenging, and you've got plenty of content to enjoy. If only the game didn't look so bland. Fear not, there's a mod for that! Enter Nevada Skies - Weather Effects, the fifth most endorsed mod on the Fallout: New Vegas Nexus. It's not hard to see why this mod is so popular. With over 320 variants of weather, dangerous sandstorms and radioactive rain showers, an HD re-texture of the sky, and much more, this mod does a lot more than change the sky. Despite it's large size, it's effect is simple: to make the game more immersive. Nevada Skies achieves this by removing the gross amber filter and making nights darker (the same goals achieved by the popular Fellout mod), in addition to adding a variety of moods and weather effects. Not only does this add a lot of variety to the experience, it makes the wasteland feel like a harsher and more hostile place, as it should.

Growing up on a healthy diet of JRPGs and point and click adventure games, young Kenny grew up playing Nintendo and Sony consoles, before becoming a snobby member of the PC Master Race.
