4. Smite
Smite is a fantastic game, and I just can’t give it enough praise. There are enough MOBAs out there that any up and comer could easily get lost in the shuffle, but a third person viewpoint and roster of pre-existing characters from mythology are a recipe for success.
Each God is thoroughly researched and represented to the best of the dev team’s ability, with a small bit of artistic interpretation mixed in. It’s fascinating to play, as you’re constantly learning about new Gods, the stories behind them and even the surrounding culture, all whilst having a tonne of fun thanks to polished combat mechanics across a variety of game modes.
Of course, there’s a standard ‘League Of Legends’ style mode, but there’s also a team deathmatch arena, a siege mode that focuses on pushing giant war beasts down the lane and finally a seasonal co-op PVE mode with some really unique challenges.
