6. Peter Parker's Original Face Mod - Spider-Man
When Spider-Man Remastered was first released for the PS5 back in late 2020, many fans expressed frustration at Insomniac's decision to change Peter Parker's face, replacing original model John Bubniak (pictured) with Ben Jordan.
To many, the decision to have Peter look younger felt like a cynical commercial calculation, to make the video game Peter more closely resemble Tom Holland from the MCU Spider-Man films.
The official reason is that the production wanted a model who better matched Peter's voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, but does that really wash?
Either way, when Spider-Man was finally released for PC back in August, complete with the controversial face-swap, within a matter of weeks a mod was released by DaigronCDM which reverted Peter's countenance back to John Bubniak.
Given that Bubniak's model files were effectively locked inside the 2018 PS4 version of the game, the process of restoring Peter's face was a little more complicated than it probably should've been.
Though there are certainly far more wild Spider-Man mods out there, considering how much more expressive the original Peter face model is, this mod remains the best and most important of the bunch.
