10 Best Hidden Gem Video Games Of 2022

1. Paradise Killer

Syberia the world before
Kaizen Game Works

Okay, Paradise Killer technically debuted in 2020. But after receiving a massive update this year, including new characters, missions, bonuses, and far better light rendering, Kaizen Gaming's detective saga feels like a whole new game.

Not only that, it's now available on all mainstream consoles, when it was only released on the Switch and the PC originally. Because Paradise Killer has never been easier to access, there's no reason not to check it out this absolute gem.

At its core, the game follows the same formula as most deduction titles. There's been a murder and it's up to you to piece together clues and question suspects to solve the mystery.

But because of the open-world structure, diverse investigation mechanics, gorgeous art style, pitch perfect performances, and bopping glo-fi soundtrack, Paradise Killer truly is a detective game like no other.

Similar to LA Noire, the likelihood of identifying the murderer is entirely based on how much time you're willing to put into cracking the case. If you want, you can bring the suspects to trial early on.

But the more time you put into solving the crime, the more likely you'll nail the perp, giving the player. This gives the player incentive to leave no stone unturned to ensure the case has the best possible outcome.

Whether or not detective stories are your thing, Paradise Killer will exceed all expectations. Once you're invested, your only gripe with the game will be wondering why you didn't buy it sooner.

If you need any more persuasion, you can purchase it for as little as £15.
