10 Best Historical First-Person Shooter Video Games

1. Kuma/War (2004)

Unlike all the other historical games on this list, Kuma/War takes place in a rather familiar modern setting. Now don’t get this bit deceive you. While other historical first-person shooters are nothing more than dramatic representations of historical events, the Kuma/War series is different since it is a video game simulation of actual real-life missions.

Both Kuma/War and Kuma/War 2 bundle of games featured a selective third-person and first-person shooting, though the game is primarily known for its bloody first-person action. The bundle depicted over 120 well-recreated conflicts from Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, South Korea, Sierra Leone, Mexico and many more.

Gamers can simulate real-life military operations such as John Kerry’s fight in the rivers of Vietnam, the 1996 raid of North Korea on South Korea, the deaths of Saddamn Hussein's’ sons, the Battle at Fallujah, the Siege of Sadr, and even the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.

Everything from the guns to the actual sequence of events surrounding these real conflicts were based on historical analysis and research. None has ever achieved this insane amount of detail for historical accuracy as Kuma/War when it came to shooters.
