10 Best Management Sim Video Games You Need To Play

7. Prison Architect

motorsport manager
Introversion Software

Running a prison...not exactly the job most people would pick. But, maybe that's because you haven't tried it yet.

Nominated for the 2016 BAFTA award for British Games, Prison Architect has you building and maintaining your own prison. There is so much to think of in Introversion Software's indie title. For those with micromanage-itis, and also those who would be interested in testing your management skills in this new environment, players will be able to control the hiring of staff, the building of facilities and cells, and management of finances.

But don't forget about the people who will be subjected to all of your decisions: the prisoners. Make sure they're happy and healthy through various reform programs and you'll be given an excellent rating by the game.

What's even more interesting and what may be appealing to those who desire a true simulation, is adjusting the way you play the game to reflect prisons of reality. Increase the difficulty in this way and see if you can manage it.

Inspired by other titles like Dungeon Keeper, Prison Architect is a great challenge for those who desire something a bit more gritty than your usual run-of-the-mill management sim.
