10 Best Multiplayer Horror Video Games
8. Friday The 13th
Released in 2017 for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Friday the 13th is a survival-horror title that forces seven player-controlled counsellors to flee from the player-controlled Jason.
After loading up the lobby Jason is randomly selected. The remaining players must scavenge weaponry to fend off the murderer, hide to try and stay alive, and ultimately escape the camp by completing objectives or surviving long enough for the time limit to expire.
Jason cannot be killed by the regular counsellors in this game, so he will always be on the hunt. He even has some special abilities, including being able to teleport anywhere on the map and sense if there are any potential victims nearby.
There are nine different versions of Jason to play as. Taking inspiration from many of the movies and the old NES game, each of these interpretations of Jason comes with their own unique abilities so that the gameplay is kept as fresh as possible.
There are also five gorgeous maps to play on, including an '80s stylised rendition of Camp Crystal Lake. If you can escape from Jason long enough to enjoy the scenery, then you should definitely do so.
After years and years of waiting, the legendary Jason Vorhees has finally been given a great video game.
