10 Best Multiplayer Maps In Call Of Duty: Black Ops History
2. Firing Range
Firing Range is perhaps one of the most beloved multiplayer maps in the entirety of Call of Duty’s history. That may sound like a bold statement, but it made an appearance in every one of the Black Ops titles, and, at this point, it wouldn’t feel like a Treyarch game unless this map saw an inclusion at some point.
Unlike many CoD maps, Firing Range features no real central point of contention. Instead, players vie for control over a few structures, the most important of which being a multi-level plywood lean-to. Assault rifles will chew threw most of the walls on this map, so players are very rarely safe at any time.
While there are a good number of possible camping spots here, gameplay tends to be so fast-paced and everchanging that sitting in one spot isn’t often a viable tactic. Additionally, hardscopers sitting at the top of the map’s central lookout will quickly find themselves the target of multiple enemies from several separate points on the ground.
Game modes like domination or hardpoint are usually best here, and any experienced CoD player can attest to the utter chaos of capping the B flag while under fire from nearly every direction.
