10 Best Multiplayer Maps In Call Of Duty: Black Ops History
3. Hijacked
Set on a yacht larger than some apartment buildings, Hijacked was one of the most well-liked original maps to appear in Black Ops 2’s rotation. A take on the beloved opposing structures style best showcased by the fan-favorite map Nuketown, snipers took aim from opposing vantage points while assault rifles and SMGs rattled on the deck below.
Risk takers could venture beneath decks to break behind enemy lines, but they stood the chance of paralysis via shock charge or a ruined streak at the hands of a hidden explosive.
One of the smallest maps available in the Black Ops games, Hijacked was always the penultimate one-versus-one map behind the aforementioned Nuketown. The tight, well-crafted design made every firefight feel controlled and deliberate, and there was something undeniably James Bond-esque about getting into a gunfight aboard a massive luxury ship.
Treyarch ramped things up when they reimagined this map for the third Black Ops title. Set in a flying sky yacht thousands of feet above a city, Skyjacked was the almost illogical next step in the map’s evolution. Players could also wall run across the ship’s exterior to avoid the mid-map crossfire, and it always made for a fantastically harrowing experience.
