5. Prince Sidon (The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild)

Obviously there is something inherently mesmerising about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's breakout character, Prince Sidon, in the sense he's amassed a huge, sprawling fanbase off the back of a relatively minor role.
Prince Sidon is introduced as a member of the Zora royal family, and is established as a cool, likeable chap with his very own fan club (art imitating real life, hm?). Everyone in the Zora domain is pretty much enamoured with Sidon, and the moment you meet the guy it's made clear why: he's effortlessly charming.
What Nintendo have proven with this water-based hunk, however, is that secondary characters can make an impact, too - and they don't even require fancy voice acting in order to do it. All it takes is a memorable design, and lots of brilliantly funny character traits. Oh, and then there's that perfect smile of his too, of course.
Trawl the internet and you'll find Zelda fans have forged a real connection with this guy, whilst the number of artists who have attempted to portray Link and Prince Sidon in a romantic relationship is quite frightening. Still, it makes sense: there really is something special about this particularly dashing rendering of pixels.
