7. BroForce
As most action video games are blatantly inspired by the corniest action films of the '80s and '90s anyway, it only makes sense that those characters would then get the gaming treatment themselves. Generally speaking, however, they haven't translated well to the small screen. But at least we have BroForce to scratch that '80s action itch for now.
The 2D side-scrolling platformer has pretty much every action hero you could think of, from Ripley to the T-800 to John McClane, Rambo, and more. This blanket nostalgic appeal is enough to separate BroForce from the rest of the competition, but it's irreverent co-op gameplay is exemplary too.
Things can get a wee bit chaotic from time to time, but that's just BroForce in a nutshell: a big, dumb, fun, chaotic mess.
