10 Best Original Characters From Star Wars Video Games
7. Kreia/Darth Traya
The early moments of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II are some of the most haunting of any Star Wars game to date. The atmosphere for the Exile on the Harbinger is constantly eerie, and this is boosted when players meet the mysterious Kreia.
Kreia serves as a guide for the player during the first portion of the game, but her companionship is constantly uneasy and fraught with a strange tension. When Kreia ultimately reveals herself to be a former Sith Lord, restoring herself as such when she realigns with them, the whole thing suddenly makes sense and a once powerful ally becomes a fearsome enemy.
Kreia represents a lot of the mysterious imbalance of the Force, something that countless Star Wars sources have sought to emphasise over the years. Facing her at the end of the game should be straightforward as she is once again consumed by evil, but elements of her companionship earlier in the game will have stuck with players and made them question whether they should ultimately destroy her.
