Rift Apart is a fantastic chapter in the always fun series that delivers nostalgia for older fans and brings newer players in with its spectacle and addictive gameplay. It's a real crowd-pleaser, and it does a lot to be so.
Firstly, the weapon variety is off the charts, with bombs, rockets, canons, and even reality-warping guns leaving you with a tonne of options for firing. Additionally, it is utterly stunning, with a massive visual scale and characters rendered with a level of detail that only next-gen consoles could achieve. Seeing this gorgeous title play out in motion is often awe-inspiring.
This game also runs like it is spreading soft butter over a slice of bread. It transitions through worlds flawlessly with hardware-reduced loading times, proving the power of the PS5.
Insomniac pulled off something incredible with this game, so it's great to see it getting the recognition it deserves from fans.
