10 Best PS5 Games You're Not Playing

When will these gems get recognised?

Flying Wild Hog

While discussing the PlayStation 5's heavy-hitters, God of War: Ragnarok, Demon Souls, and Spider-Man 2 spring to mind. These marvels aren't just magnificent in their own right, but demonstrate what Sony's latest console is capable of when pushed to its limit. Although the PS5 has gobs of stellar titles, its games of this calibre that bring in the big bucks.

With that said, there are plenty of tremendous games on the system that require more recognition. Some top-range entries never got their due, thanks to minimal advertising or a disappointing launch. And with more battle royales, sandboxes, and shooters than ever before, it's nearly impossible for even the top-of-the-line titles to stand out. Video games also have an uphill battle at making a long-lasting impression if they're made by an indie developer or aren't a part of an iconic brand.

Fortunately, passionate gamers will yell from the rooftops when a magnificent title goes unnoticed. If any PS5 owner feels like they've played everything on offer, here are a few treasures that shouldn't be discounted. These entries may have come and gone with little fanfare, but they are absolutely worth your time.

10. Rise Of The Ronin

Team Ninja

It's easy to understand why Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin got lost in the shuffle, since it's hard to keep track of all the Asian open world titles that have come out recently. In fact, the developers released a similar hack-and-slash, Wu Long: Fallen Dynasty, only the previous year.

With that said, Rise of the Ronin boasts the most satisfying combat ever seen in a Team Ninja product (which is impressive, considering their track record). Each of the spears, sabres, and katanas have between three to eight combat styles, giving our hero incredible versatility in battle. There's also a heavy emphasis on firearms, allowing you to blast mercenaries with rifles, handguns, and bayonets.

But combat isn't the only thing on offer. RotR contains luscious cities to explore, enthralling missions that allow three-player co-op, and fun travelling methods, including horse-riding, gliding, and grappling (which can double as a long-distance weapon).

It's also worth mentioning that who you ally with or fight against directly affects how the story plays out. Not only does this make each decision more impactful, it encourages multiple playthroughs to experience the narrative fully.

The cluttered map and excessive loot can be irritating, but it's not enough to ruin the experience as a whole.
