If you've ever walked into an arcade, there's a very strong possibility you've seen this cabinet sitting there in all its glory, surrounded by people. Simpsons games are always hit or miss, but when they hit, oh boy do they hit. Road Rage anyone?

The Simpsons arcade game, one of the first games based off the show, was one of those big hits. Its four player co-op helped groups of friends waste hours of time and plenty of quarters as they burned though numerous goons, bosses and levels.

The game centres around taking control of either Homer, Lisa, Bart or Marge as you fight your way to getting back Maggie. One of the most memorable things was the unique weapons each character had access to. Homer uses his hands and feet, Bart a skateboard (which he can also ride around on), Lisa uses a jump rope and Marge has a vacuum cleaner. It kept the show's humor, and those cartoon visuals were still so ever present.

You can even credit this game for a pretty big easter egg. See, originally Marge's large blue hair was intended to conceal huge rabbit ears, but the idea was eventually thrown out. However, if you look closely while playing as Marge, certain animations reveal these rabbit ears. Not only will this game go down as being one of the best beat 'em ups of all time, but it could very much be the best game based on a cartoon of all time.
