Developed by Project Siren and released on the PlayStation 3 in 2008, Siren: Blood Curse is the third and final entry in this stealth survival horror series.

Set in the mysterious Japanese village of Hanuda, this cult horror gem sees players take on the role of a handful of different characters as they make their way through a series of episodic chapters that weave together an interconnecting story that unearths the dark secrets hidden away within the village.

And although some of the characters aren’t teenagers, Blood Curse is nevertheless a fantastic horror game that’s home to the sort of bizarre plot that would feel right at home in any teen horror film from that era.

What marks this game out from the other survival horror titles is its use of its “Sight Jack” ability, which allows players to see through the eyes of nearby enemies. A fundamental mechanic when it comes to sneaking past hordes of the undead villagers standing in your way, seeing yourself in the sights of an unseen foe moments before they get the jump on you makes for some of the most unforgettable moments this game has to offer.
