10 Best Vampire Video Games
1. Dark Watch
In an industry where first person shooters are saturated with world war storylines, it’s refreshing to see a title like Darkwatch. Being a mix of horror, western and steampunk all rolled into one vampire-themed title, it’s a unique experience to say the least.
Plot is at the heart of this game, unusual for an FPS, following the actions of Jericho Cross and his internal struggle between fighting vampires for the Darkwatch order while becoming a creature of the night himself.
The title’s gameplay is fun, snappy and at times intense, even if it is walking on well-trodden ground. Atmosphere, setting and style are the name of the game here, however. Being one of the few entries in all of video games in the Weird Western sub-genre it executes its ideas brilliantly.
Darkwatch manages to offer up a western setting as well a plot filled to the brim with all things vampire, without having to compromise either.
Half Red Dead Redemption, half Call of Duty, and with vampires thrown in for good measure. I don’t think I need to say anymore.
