As far as creating huge open-world experiences go, Rockstar is the undisputed king in a gaming industry that has gone open-world crazy. Ever since they took gamers into a place they never knew existed with 2001's Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar has been like a rocket that never runs out of fuel. Their games always speak to the darker shades of storytelling that has an emphasis on crime-driven anti-heroes whilst shining a big bright light on our own culture. If there's one thing that you can expect, its that Rockstar will always be with the times, creating topical games that speak to society at large and it usually isn't very nice. And to say that Rockstar's games are well made is an understatement, as GTA V is one of the pinnacles of game design in the past decade. Rockstar's games are always addicting as any game should be, yet you can see the very real craft at work. These games are made by incredibly talented people, all of them operating at the top of their field.
