Coming off of the initial release of Diablo III in 2012, the announcement of Reaper of Souls the following year was encouraging in that it showed Blizzard would be supporting the title moving forward. And considering the somewhat questionable launch of Diablo III, it was a good sign of the future to see Reaper of Souls begin to take things in a better direction. Reaper is a welcome indication of where Diablo might be headed in the future, emphasising the elements that have always captured fans' attentions and cutting down on the superfluous and the less enthusiastically received elements. Reaper of Souls also added a new class in The Crusader and increased the level cap from 60 to the welcome 70, along with a few other excellent tweaks that helped to bring Diablo III closer to the game everyone knew it could be all along.
