10 Best Video Game Secrets & Easter Eggs Of 2018 (So Far)

7. Pennywise's Home (Far Cry 5)

Although Far Cry 5 took a bit of flack for having a world that wasn't as technically impressive as the second game in the franchise, its depiction of Montana still made for an intricately-detailed sandbox for players to seek out missions, stunt jumps and, of course, easter eggs.

While there were a few that could have made this list (including a couple throwbacks to previous releases like the Vaas bobblehead or the Blood Dragon movie set), it was one ominous tie in to the movie It which took players the most by surprise.

There are plenty of sewers scattered throughout Far Cry 5's world, but eagle-eyed fans spotted one adorned with a sole red balloon, an obvious reference to Stephen King's most iconic creation, Pennywise.

Despite being simply a tongue-in-cheek ode to one of the biggest phenomenons of the 2010s, considering just how many wacky animals, characters and monsters reside in the sequel's sandbox, it wouldn't be entirely out there to suggest the demon clown himself is also lurking in the shadows.
