There are many villains to choose from in the quirky, dangerous menagerie of Fallout: New Vegas. From the randian schemer Robert House, to the despotic regressive Caesar, to even YOU if you just wanna watch this wasteland burn. But above them all, there is only one Ulysses.

Ulysses was a member of the twisted hairs tribe, which was absorbed into Caesar's Legion. Being a man always looking for a cause to follow, he followed Caesar until he found him to be too weak. Especially in comparison to the tales he heard of the America of old, a united nation that stood against and atop the world. Enamored with this dream, he tried to sow the seeds of its revival in a small town called Hopeville. Which, coincidentally, your character - a courier - also frequented, keeping it supplied and alive. At least until someone tricked you into opening a package that contained the detonation switch for the nukes right under Hopeville.

Losing all faith in humanity, Ulysses plans to wipe out both the NCR and the Legion with the remaining dormant nukes. He invites you, the man who ruined his dream, to try and stop him. Every line of Ulysses is cryptic yet poetic, and his interactions with The Courier imbue your player character with more personality and history than Fallout 4's voice acting could ever hope to achieve.

Cunning, ruthless, yet similar enough to hopefully be reasoned with, Ulysses is the perfect foil to The Courier.
