10 Best Xbox Series X Games (So Far)
4. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
If there was ever a franchise synonymous with Xbox, it’s Halo.
With Halo: Combat Evolved arriving as a launch title for the original Xbox all the way back in 2001, the franchise would shape the future of first-person shooters and online multiplayer over the coming years. Likewise, Halo games were also a chance for Microsoft to demonstrate what their machines were capable of; and with Halo: Infinite just around the corner, Microsoft will have the chance to show players what their new consoles can do.
Until then, Halo fans can enjoy this franchise in all its glory with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Bundling five games together in one package that spans Combat Evolved to Halo 4 (including multiplayer), the MCC is the best way to play Halo.
The collection was already the definitive way to experience Master Chief's story when it launched, however, players fortunate enough to own a Series X will be able to get even more out of the collection.
While there’s not much new regarding the visuals here, save for an FOV slider, instantaneous load times and up to 120fps (and 60fps in split screen) make Halo better to play than it’s ever been.
