10 Biggest 2017 Video Games You Should Be Worried About
8. Prey
Players have been waiting for a sequel to Prey since 2006. After several false-starts and tantalising announcements that eventually led to bitter cancellations, the long-stagnant series has finally been revived thanks to the guys behind the Dishonoured franchise.
And fortunately, what we've seen so far has looked promising. Offering a gritty, almost survival horror take on the Prey universe, the upcoming reboot - while seemingly completely unrelated to the original - has breathed new life into a once dormant franchise.
But for as promising as the trailers we've seen look, you should keep in mind that developer Arkane, while having proved itself with extremely enjoyable free-form stealth games, have never been known for their tight combat
In fact, combat in the studio's previous releases was often the weakest part - something which doesn't bode well for Prey's heavier emphasis on gunplay.
I've got no doubt that Arkane will be able to deliver something special with Prey - it just might not be the flawless return that everyone is expecting.
