The 2022 beta version of Street Fighter 6 has left a positive impression on the series' fans. It showcased some new, refreshing mechanics, like the character creator and a simplified control scheme, that got people excited for the actual release of the game. However, there were also two major issues that some fans were quick to point out.

The first one concerned the game's multiplayer and potential balancing problems. The game introduced a Drive Impact mechanic that allows players to use special devastating attacks whenever they fill a bar beneath their health. The attacks deal massive damage and can completely change the dynamic of a match, which is why some Beta players were worried the Drive Impact could turn competitive matches from battles of skill to random moments of lucky Drive Impact strikes.

The other concern was related to a much more prolific problem with modern fighting games in general: the single-player mode. These days, most fighting games lack a proper arcade mode, which is why they become expandable as soon as their multiplayer community moves on to another release.

Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode shows a lot of promise in this regard, but whether it will be a satisfying single-player experience remains to be seen.
