7. The World Ends With You: Final Remix
This one doesn't deserve to be here in the slightest.
Despite being an amazing game with fantastic music, great characters and an interesting gameplay style, The World Ends With You doesn't seem to have made much impact upon releasing.
The fact that The World Ends With You is such a niche game is one of the reasons why it didn't sell so well. If you don't like the very specific vibe the game is giving off, you aren't going to be interested in the slightest.
Final Remix also released in October, which was packed full of releases like Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Black Ops 4. It was a pretty stacked month to say the least. The World Ends With You barely cracked the charts in its first week, opening at number 21.
To be fair, the Switch port of The World Ends With You does come with a brand new set of problems that make it a little harder to recommend. The fact that the game can only be played comfortably using the handheld is a big annoyance as the motion controls take a lot of fun away.
Let's hope this doesn't stop a sequel.
