10 Biggest Video Game Creatures You Can Go Inside
5. Ōkami: Inside The Water Dragon
There
couldn’t be a greater contrast to The Binding Of Isaac’s gross-out aesthetic
than Ōkami. This 2006 adventure title from Clover Studio utilizes a beautiful cel-shaded
watercolour style, a wonderful fit with its Japanese mythological setting.
Amaterasu, the sun goddess in wolf form, must wield the Celestial Brush on a journey to eradicate an insidious curse that has spread across Nippon. The player meets a variety of mythological creatures through the course of this The Legend of Zelda-esque quest, one of which being the enormous guardian of the Dragonians: the Water Dragon.
Corrupted by the curse, the Water Dragon becomes a monstrous threat. Amaterasu ventures into the beast itself in search of mysterious and powerful artefact known as the Dragon Orb.
The inside of this creature is perhaps one of the game’s most stunning locales (though that’s really saying something), a sparkling, crystalline and watery dungeon set to wonderful music.
