8. New Players Queuing To Use A Laptop In The Division

The Division - Ubisoft's ambitious attempt to enter the new massively online shooter space - was one of the most eagerly anticipated games of 2016. Naturally, when players jumped into it for the first time everyone was eager to get past the tutorial and head out into the post-apocalyptic ruins of New York City.

What people didn't want was to get stuck in a queue made up of other players, queuing up to use a single computer like they were shopping in Argos (or Wal-Mart, for our American readers) on Christmas Eve.

The laptop, you see, was essential to use in order to complete the tutorial mission, but a mixture of bugginess and bad game design meant that only one person could use the laptop at a time, and players couldn't clip through each other to use it - hence the comical sight of long queues as people waited their turn to use the damn thing.

The bug was eventually fixed, but for a couple of days The Division did a great job of being the world's first ever queuing sim.
