2. Seaman (1999, Dreamcast)
The cover for this Dreamcast forgotten 'gem' reads Caution: Seaman. I should have just left this entry at that and let it speak for itself. However you really do have to experience this so-called virtual pet game for yourself. If you've ever wanted to turn your Sea Monkey's into full sized water creature things then this is the game for you. It's certainly a bizarre concept especially when you get to see your little 'pet' up close and personal and he's looking at you with his crazy face and begins screaming commands and demanding to know why you're so stupid. This really is the stuff of nightmares and just the thought of it is enough to make me flush my Goldfish down the loo if I wasn't already worried that he might come back to haunt me with the same horrible Seaman face pictured above. A sequel - known as Christmas Seaman - was planned but fortunately it's yet to see the light of day here in the UK outside of imports and copies. There's a reason for that and why the Dreamcast failed as a console. It was the only way the dreaded Seaman fish could be buried for good.
