Whilst the Elder Scrolls Online might not have set the gaming world on fire quite as well as they'd hoped, and news of Fallout 4 continues to stubbornly, erm, not exist, Bethesda have still managed to have a pretty good year. 2014 saw them publishing Shinji Mikami's return to survival horror form The Evil Within and franchise reboot Wolfenstein: The New Order. Both of which were phenomenally well-received and successful games, as according to the natural order of things when it comes to Bethesda games. Those guys just don't do failures. Not since Wayne Gretzky Hockey in 1988, anyway. There's no reason that 2015 should be any different, when you think about it. Even if the next Elder Scrolls proper or Fallout don't wind up being announced (and really, they should, this is bordering on torture at this point), Bethesda will still be doing pretty well off of the back of free-to-play action title BattleCry and if they're lucky a little game called Doom 4.
