4. The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy By Douglas Adams

If the previous entry on this list proves how a science fiction game has the potential to be artistic and profound, this one would show the fun side of the genre. Douglas Adams's quirky world has so much potential as a game, enough that it does already exist in the form of a challenging Infocom title released for the Apple II in 1984. However, it is time for something new.

Easily the best aspect of the series is its unique comedy, and this would need to be a high priority for the game. The humour is so British in its design and has the potential to become one of the funniest outings of the modern gaming landscape. Unfortunately, the perfect developers closed their doors, but had Lionhead Studios remained working, they could have brought some of their signature humour found in the Fable franchise and slapped it onto this science fiction backdrop.

Despite the perfect people for the job no longer having the ability to undertake the project, it's still apparent that this game would be charming to the highest degree.
