10 Brilliant Playstation One Games We Are Still Playing

6. Tekken 3

gon-tekken-3 There are some games that just grab you immediately. When I got my Playstation, my best friend and I dandered into a DVD and games rental outlet and picked up Tekken 3. And the game, when we got it home, completely gripped us for hours on end. There was the thrill of unlocking characters and learning all of the moves. There was Nina Williams. There were the cool different theme tunes for characters. It was a glorious spectacle. The game play improved considerably upon Tekken 2. There were sidestep dodges, quicker recoveries from being thrown on the floor and the whole thing just flew more swiftly than its clunky predecessor. The characters were fully rounded fighting machines who had a background story which enhanced viewer's gaming experience. I mentioned Nina above, and her sister Anna (who is a bit of a frisky tart) makes an appearance, fighting in a dress - but never revealing her knickers. The two sisters quarrel which ends in Nina b*tch slapping Anna at their father's graveside. Priceless! Tekken 3 is the zenith of the Tekken series. I enjoyed Tekken Tag Team on PS2 but Tekken 4 & 5 did not reach the giddying heights of Tekken 3. It is not just me who feels this way. Most computer game critics and experts would mark out Tekken 3 as the best in the series and many Tekken connoisseurs out there are still merrily playing this PSX game.
