10 Broken Games That Are GOD-TIER Now

2. Cyberpunk 2077

The ultimate evolution of the hype/backlash phenomenon of No Man's Sky was Cyberpunk 2077. I distinctly remember seeing that first teaser trailer for the game when I was a kid, and almost a decade later, Cyberpunk 2077 came out to universal, unrepentant, overwhelming HATE.

Yeah, turns out that, with a development time that long, and with The Witcher 3 having just put a bow on their biggest IP, CD Projekt RED's bosses were pretty dogged about getting this game done as soon as possible. Which meant a lot of crunch to get it over the finish line. This resulted in the game being almost unplayable upon release from how broken it was. While the glitches were more funny than game-breaking, they were so numerous as to be unacceptable.

However, ask an RPG fan what their favorite game is these days, and Cyberpunk 2077 will be pretty high up that list. This is because CD Projekt RED have dedicated the past several years to repairing the game and turning the narrative around. A seemingly impossible task, to anyone who was there when the game dropped originally. But god damn if they didn't do exactly that.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now one of the most lauded games of the last several years, with its latest DLC, Phantom Liberty, receiving near-universal acclaim.
