A staple in consistent FTK decks, Magical Scientist's stats (300 ATK and DEF) are completely at odds with what is without a doubt the most overpowered Monster Effect in the entire game.
For 1000 Life Points, players can Special Summon one Level 6 or lower Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck - no once per duel, no once per turn, hardly any restrictions bar the Monster's inability to attack directly and having to be returned to the Extra Deck at the turn's close.
Even then, the sheer pool of powerful Level 6 Fusion Monsters that can be summoned is phenomenal, making players able to clear the opponent's Field with ease. Overpowered even when Fusion Monsters were the only cards in the Extra Deck, the introduction of Synchro, Xyz and Link Monsters - the most powerful of which Magical Scientist can easily provide fodder for - guarantees that Magical Scientist will never make it off the Ban List, no matter the Meta.
