Proving that doctors always get the most dramatic takedowns in fighting games is Valentine, who we can also thank for making skimpy nurse outfits into a fashion statement.

We can also thank her for having an undeniably badass finisher - although in Skullgirl these are called Blockbusters, presumably to add a touch of extra drama.

While the most powerful Blockbuster Valentine has is the move named Forbidden Procedure - which can revive your teammates - it's not the coolest looking. Instead, this award goes to Dead on Arrival, which sees Valentine place her opponent behind a blood-stained courtesy screen before performing some (very painful) surgery on them.

All of the Blockbuster moves in Skullgirls are fun in their bright shiny animations, but Dead on Arrival is one of the few that also feels genuinely unsettling - which is exactly why it's so great.

Also, it's technically free healthcare, so even if you get totally beat down by it, it's still technically win-win. Now if only you could find a dentist to fight as well.
