Legendary animator Don Bluth is known for his work on films such as The Land Before Time and An American Tail. In the video game industry, he is known for the arcade classic Dragon's Lair but fans of his may be surprised to find out that Bluth also worked on the Pac-Man series.

The video game was called Pac-Man Adventures and was developed under Bluth in the mid-2000s.

The title was intended to have a darker tone with various storyboards showing images of ghosts protesting against the titular character to even Pac-Village being attacked and destroyed.

The cast would have been comprised of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, fellow Namco character Dig Dug while introducing Erwin as the main villain. Adventures was sadly cancelled due to Namco's financial problems which led to their merger with Bandai in 2007.

Though gameplay of Pac-Man Adventures remains unknown to this day, elements from the title were incorporated in 2005's Pac-Man World 3 such as Erwin and the location Gogekka. But with the talents of a man like Don Bluth, it is a shame that gamers never got to experience what this title could have been.
