10 Celebrities You Didn't Realise Are Massive Gamers
9. Deadmau5
Though he's not quite the international powerhouse he was at the start of the decade, Deadmau5's brand of EDM has continued to make for incredible live shows, as the DJ embarks on one world tour after the next. Fortunately, that touring cycle gives him the perfect excuse to indulge in his favourite hobby in his downtime: namely, playing and watching video games.
By the sounds of things, Deadmau5 - real name Joel Zimmerman - loves the culture of video games as much as he does actually playing them, preferring to host tournaments and watch the professionals duke it out. It probably explains why he's been avidly involved in a bunch of video game projects, helping out on the likes of DJ Hero and setting up his own LAN gaming centre in Canada. As of 2018, he was even apparently developing his own first-person shooter.
Consequently, his profession as a musician and his love of gaming has always blended throughout the years, and the performer has even credited the soundtracks of the likes of Castlevania as inspiring his music.
