Fortunately, that touring cycle gives him the perfect excuse to indulge in his favourite hobby in his downtime: namely, playing and watching video games.

By the sounds of things, Deadmau5 - real name Joel Zimmerman - loves the culture of video games as much as he does actually playing them, preferring to host tournaments and watch the professionals duke it out. It probably explains why he's been avidly involved in a bunch of video game projects, helping out on the likes of DJ Hero and setting up his own LAN gaming centre in Canada.
