10 Challenges That Ruined Video Games

1. OlliOlli World - God-Tier Grind

Hot off the press, OlliOlli World is Roll7's latest skateboarding arcade offering. It's adorable, it's colourful... and it's also really difficult to master.

Much like their previous skateboarding titles, OlliOlli World gets progressively harder as tracks go on. Standard, as far as arcade games go. The road to skate wizard mastery is long and thumb-twiddly, but is possible to get through the story relatively cramp-free.

But it's when the main quest is done that Radysus, the skate god, adds some additional challenge to proceedings. Insanely difficult criteria per level, like not using ramps or any grinds.

Or pulling off incredible combos and not wallriding, grinding, or some evil combination to mess with players' heads.

That's a small example. Later tracks, hard already before the added challenge, just become absolutely insane. Bordering impossible, without years of practice.

As it currently stands, the unlock rate for the Platinum trophy stands at 0.0%. That says to me that not even the developers have managed to do it.

So if you are looking for that sweet, sweet 100% completion rate... expect to do a lot of grinding. And kickflipping, etc.
