10 Classic Video Games Based On Cartoons That Deserve A HD Remake

8. Darkwing Duck (NES)

10 Darkwing Duck Darking Duck was the only spinoff from the Ducktales series, which had its own quality game that was recently remade for modern audiences. The original Darkwing series ran from 1991 to 1995, with the NES game coming out in 1992. While Ducktales was an out and out platform game, Darkwing Duck was highly influenced by the massively popular Mega Man games, making it more of a platform shoot 'em up. In actuality, it even ran on a modified version of the Mega Man 5 engine, making great use of the jump and shoot mechanics that made those games famous. As an added bonus, Darkwing could also make use of his cape to block incoming enemy projectiles. Although it never received the attention that the great Ducktales game did, Darkwing Duck was a great adaptation in its own right, starting a trend that would define most Disney games of the time.
